Our Story
The popularity of non-alcoholic beers has been on a rapid rise globally, finding its way into more pubs, liquor stores and breweries. With greater availability and ever-growing options for consumers increasing rapidly, the homebrewing sector has been left in the dark about the processes and technologies associated with brewing these outstanding beers.
At Ultralow Brewing, our aim is to deliver important information, resources and the latest products for homebrewers, and commercial prospects to create their very own non-alcoholic and ultra-low alcohol beers. Whether you enter this journey for medical reasons, lifestyle changes or simply to expand your brewing portfolio, there is something for everyone.

I gave up alcohol shortly after the birth of my first child, alcohol had always played a large part in my life, growing up around family parties and social gatherings, I became accustomed to celebrating with a drink in hand. When I decided I wanted to reduce the negative effects of regular drinking, the choice of choosing water or soda as a replacement didn't appeal to me, it somehow felt less social and isolating. So, I turned to non-alcoholic beer, and what a game changer it was! I could feel connected and involved as I could still enjoy a beer with friends and family and feel better for it. As an avid homebrewer, I didn't want to exit the hobby, so I set out on a journey to find as much information as I could to make my own non-alcoholic beers. The difficult and time-consuming searching I had done, putting together bits and pieces of information, lead me to create a guide to brewing non-alcoholic and ultra-low alcohol beer, and make it easier and more accessible for others wanting to do the same (which you can find on this site). With the help of this guide, and our web page, I hope to bring this option to brewers of all skill levels, around the world, and create a greater culture surrounding alcohol (or in our case, the lack of).

I gave up alcohol when my first child was very young and I came to the stark realisation that alcohol was controlling me rather than me controlling the alcohol. Alcohol has always been there in the form of my favourite drink, Beer! I love beer, how beer tastes, what beer represents, the social aspect of beer, the history of beer, and making beer. I felt strongly that I shouldn't have to give up beer to give up alcohol, so I started my UltraLow alcohol beer quest. The mission to make my own delicious tasting, full bodied, perfect beer with no or ultra-low alcohol content. After countless hours of research, emails, and hundreds of brews and experiments, I am ready to share my knowledge in the hope that others can share my passion.
