SGThe door of craft beer opened for me on a warm spring day, eating pizza and drinking a Unibroue Blanche de Chambly, a witbier. Ever since that day witbier remains one of my favorite beer styles even though I am a serious hophead.
This low alcohol witbier recipe is a v1.0 for me. It is a solid first version. Let me give you insight into what I like in my witbiers so you can decide whether you’d enjoy this take on a witbier.
I like a lot of aromatics in my witbier, especially chamomile and coriander. I pulled back on the spices out of concern the lower alcohol might make them too prominent (like pulling back on hops for a LA recipe).
Well, that was not the case. Next time I’ll make it with the same amounts of my full-strength recipe.
