I gave up alcohol shortly after the birth of my first child, alcohol had always played a large part in my life, growing up around family parties and social gatherings, I became accustom to celebrating with a drink in hand. When I decided I wanted to reduce the negative effects of regular drinking, the choice of choosing water or soda as a replacement didn't appeal to me, it somehow felt less social and isolating. So I turned to Non-alcoholic beer, and what a game changer it was, I could feel connected and involved as I could still enjoy a beer with friends and family, and feel better for it. As an avid homebrewer, I didn't want to exit the hobby, so I set out on a journey to find as much information as I could to make my own non-alcoholic beers. The difficult and time consuming searching I had done, putting together bits and pieces of information, lead me to create a guide to brewing non-alcoholic and ultra-low alcohol beer, and make it easier and more accessible for others wanting to do the same (which you can find on this site). With the help of this guide, and our web page, I hope to bring this option to brewers of all skill levels, around the world, and create a greater culture surrounding alcohol (or in our case, the lack of).
