Overall….
This started as a wild concept, and I had no idea if I’d hit the mark or miss it like one of Shaq’s free throws. Safe to say, I got pretty close to what I imagined up, just a slight over attenuation that needs to be drawn in a bit. The biscuit flavours complimenting with the smooth and spicy ginger is quite nice, this is a beer better once it has warmed up a little (as with most darker beers). It has a low bitterness with a smooth floral, earthiness that adds some extra dimension. This isn’t a beer I would indulge on, but more-so savour come the cooler weather as a treat or a night cap, but it sure paired well with my freshly baked Fig Cake with a crumble topping..
